Is Zionism good for Judaism ?
The questions raises a profound and nuance issue : Whether Zionism is good for Judaism, particularly in the light of it's modern origins, it's distinction from the biblcal concept of Zion ( Tzion ), it's absense from the Torah, and the risks of it becoming a " golden calf " - an idolatrous substitude for true faith- this metaphor derives from Shemos 32 and suggest that Zionism could become an idol, prioritized above spiritual and ethical values, potentially leading Jews away from the core tenet of Judaism.
