Count of the Omer - Day 3
After the Exodus from Mitzrayim the Jews where so eager to receive the Torah, that they counted the days remaining to that great event. This was prelude to the precept of the counting of the Omer which they received later at Har Sinai.
Throughout the ages, the counting of the Omer has remained a preparartion to receiving the Torah. When the fourty- nine days of counting the Omer come to an end, Shavuos follows immediately.
HaShem addressed each and every Jew individually, " I am HaShem, your G-d. " To every Jew HaShem gave the Torah, and to each He commanded that they study and fulfill the 613 mitzvos.
Tanya perek 29 - each was infused with Divinely - granted strength and ability to fulfill the Torah.
Each day counts; each Jew counts; each mitzvah counts.
