We are living extraordinary but turbulent times. It was only two years ago that we were optimistic about peaceful times, which now has been replaced by fear and depression. It looks like there is no win- situation for Israel. We are blaming Bibi that he doesn't do enough, as we go trough the motion of trying to make sense of it all.
The Haftarah of last weeks Lech Lecha, comments on weakness,
Maybe Israel did seems weak and vulnerable but Israel wil win, because HaShem will aid them and be with them, and they will conquer their enemies.
"For HaShem, your G-d who grabs your right hand, and says, " Do not fear, I will help you. "
The one who trust HaShem, shall renew their strength and they shall grow and the rebirth of Israel will mirror Avraham's prophecy.
The footsteps of the Moshiach - עקבתא דמשיחא- is at the beginning of a phenomenonal period of time, but also full of confusion. In this era the Rebbe Rashab quotes in Igros Kodesh of Rebbe Rayatz
" In this era, the generation of the “footsteps of Mashiach,” it is essential that one not follow the dictates of rationalization, for mortal reasoning can mislead a man. Rather, we should observe the Torah and its commandments out of simple and unquestioning faith in G‑d. "
Edom and Yishmael
The Zohar tells us that in the future the children of Yishmael will stir great wars in the world, and Edom (the West) will gather to fight them.
In Kabbalah there is this prophecy which comments on the " End of Days" and refers to punishment to whom strike terror in the " Land of the Living "
And it came to pass in the twelfth year, on the 15th day of the month, that the word of the Lord came to me, -Ibid. 32:17
The twelfth month is Adar and on the 15th of Adar is Purim, and on that exact day was the anniversary of the end of the Gulf War. HaShem's word was directed at our time.
And then there is a second prophecy referring to the future, at the End of Days, the days of Gog and MaGog,
" That in those days all of the nations will gather around Jerusalem. "
At the End of Days, after Israel has already settled on the land of Israel, in the future, the people of the world will gather together to conquer Jerusalem. Then will gather together to conquer the land of Israel from the Jews. Gog, the President of ( the coutry ) Meshek (meaning "Market) and Tuval from the lands of the North and West who are uncircumcised and called Edom.
Meshek and Tuval are of the descendants of Yafet (one of the three sons of Noah) that live (now) in Europe, as Josephus has written; there it is also written "Persia and Kush and Put are with them" (Ez. 38:5). And also (with them will be) the house of Torgama that are all circumcised and adhere to the religion of the Ishmaelite (Islam). - Chabad.org.
We are living in turbulent times, but also exciting times as we must remember that it is HaShem that rules the world!
